About NI Research

Since 1995, NI Research has provided its unique brand of direct and honest analysis to the pharmaceutical industry and the financial institutions who provide the industry’s fiscal lifeblood. We focus solely upon neurological and psychiatric therapeutics, and we cover those more comprehensively and candidly than anyone else. NI Research does not soft-pedal and euphemize its reviews in the service of maximizing corporate enrollment in other ventures, we have built our reputation on being thorough and straightforward. But we also believe that covering both the science and the business in this, the most exciting area of medical therapeutics development, does not have to be boring. There is more than a little surreal entertainment available in following this sector, and we believe in leavening our coverage with the humor that is too often completely drained from its literature and coverage.

The core of NI Research consists of three publications:

1. Our flagship monthly journal, NeuroInvestment, which has set the standard for independent analysis of the neurotherapeutics area.
2. The Private CNS Company Review since 2003 has been the only publication solely devoted to covering the vast array of privately-held firms which, sometimes out of choice, often not, tend to fly under the radar, even though many of the most promising therapeutics programs come from them.
3. The newest and largest-scale publication is CNS Disorders/Therapeutics, which combines NI Research’s reviews of all major disorders into one, searchable pdf database. The 2008 edition also has added a first-in-class review of the business development programs and practices for all major pharmaceutical companies, describing their strengths, flaws, and grading them as potential partners for small and midsize companies.

NI Research also provides consultation to companies regarding strategic development, including the identification of inlicensing candidates and options for outlicensing.
